Located on the A357 between Sturminster Newton and Blandford Forum
Just 3 miles from Sturminster Newton and only 5 miles from Blandford Forum, the Old Ox Inn is located in the village of Shillingstone on the A357 and is also within easy reach of the A350 from Shaftesbury to Poole or the A354 from Salisbury to Dorchester.
From the centre of Blandford Forum, head north on Whitecliff Mill St / Milldown Rd. At the junction with the A350 turn left signposted for Warminster and Shaftesbury (A350). Shortly after joining the A350 turn left on to the A357 signposted for Sturminster Newton (A357), Sherborne (A3030), Durweston and Shillingstone. Follow the A357 for 3 miles until you enter the village of Shillingstone on Blandford Road passing the "Shillingstone, home of the bravest village in England" sign. Keep on Blandford Road until you see the white Old Ox Inn Shillingstone on your right.
From the centre of Sturminster Newton, head south on Bridge Street (B3092). Immediately after crossing the bridge over the River Stour, turn left onto the A357 signposted for Shillingstone and Blandford Forum. Pass through the village of Fiddleford and keep on the A357 towards Shillingstone and Blandford Forum. Enter the village of Shillingstone and keep on Blandford Road until you see the white Old Ox Inn Shillingstone on your left.
